Of your two postings at the top of my home page, this one beckoned me in first. It's just me, but I'm more drawn to clean lines and this design effect that mimics a keyboard (though perhaps it's not really black and white!) One of Ken's former business colleagues got me Photomatrix today! Perhaps through it I can unravel some of what I see around here! And after just a cursory glance through it, I think it's "simpler" than PS, but using it, I think I can understand PS better. Thanks for pointing me in that direction!
Really great processing, Taffy. I really love this strong contrast which accentuate the "piano key" effect mentioned above. My eye is really being drawn into the picture towards the light spot on the floor 2/3s up, and then deeper into the unknown of the darkness. Lovely picture and a fav.
Wonderful image - love those lines. It does look like a keyboard in the b&w. Just wondering if that is the actual colour of the floor or if you visualized it as b& w when you took the shot?
@maggiemae Thanks Maggiemae! It's actually a light taupe color palette in this part of the walkway, very brightly lit, with some shops that line the two sides. I converted it to b&w and then upped the contrast and was surprised myself to see how much it ended up looking like a keyboard! It's one of the more brightly lit and lovely spots on the walkway but when I converted it, I could appreciate the architecture that I mostly miss otherwise.
