End of the Shopping Day by taffy

End of the Shopping Day

Last posting for tonight...October main album is now up to date. No need to comment and apologies for the several uploads tonight.
Thanks for all your well wishes about my knee -- such a relief that I won't need surgery and a cortisone shot got rid of most of the pain!
This photo is from my photo walk just over a week ago with Elaine and Sue in Sydney, Australia. This is the QVB (Queen Victoria Building) that is a stunning architectural treasure.
Superb composition. Great detail. Fav

Love this Taffy what a beautiful building and so many shops! My eye keeps going to the balcony on the left hand side on the front edge of the shot. It looks curved or is it my eyes?

I love this building. A wonderful shot. Fav

@pamknowler It did curve - it really is a gorgeous structure!

Superb shot

Such a wonderful building, and I love your POV....the wide angle really does it justice.
November 6th, 2014
I like the way you have captured perspective in two dimensions. Especially like the way perspective is conveyed virtically by use of colour and convergence. Great use of a wide angle lens.

@eyeamlisa I have the Nikon 14-24 which is an amazing lens. I was able to by it used which made a difference, but it is by far the most expensive lens I own or had ever thought about purchasing. I had it for over a year and was going to sell it back as I couldn't figure out how to use it. Then, went for a photo walk with a former 365er from Chicago who gave me some pointers and now it's one of my favorites -- primarily for architecture and landscapes.

Fabulous! How did you manage to get a photo of such a large area without a whole lot of people? I do like the one person on the top floor though. It adds perspective. Nicely done! Nice lens you've got there, too!

@clake The emptiness was basically getting there after all the stores had closed! thanks for the visit and kind comment!
