Tuckered out from jumping on the bed, Danbo tries to get some rest.
For mundane challenge this week (bed) and six word story. Working at home today...too easily distracted...must start going into office instead.
Thank you all for the wonderful (and fun) comments and favs for the scene fro the balcony. It was special to have a photo taken without being through the window/glass, but I'm not sure how often I can force myself to go out there. I've started counting the days til they open the rooftop deck (just one floor up) which is huge and feels much more safe. I hope we get to stay here long enough to take advantage of it before we move back home. Truly, this place needs a braver soul than me when it comes to heights. It's a photographer's dream spot with the two balconies, totally wasted on me!
With such a comfy, elegant bed, I would think Danbo would be sound asleep in no time at all. Maybe he's stuck thinking about that balcony and how far down it is from up there.
Love Danbo, the colours and and textures in this. You have not wasted your balconies you have posted some stunning shots even if they were through the glass.
So sweet!! Love all those gorgeous cushions Taffy!! I can understand your problem with heights as I am the same - my knees go weak!! Still be brave and make the most of the view while you are there - such a wonderful opportunity not to be missed! Get Jim to tie something round your waist and anchor you!! LOL!!
@pamknowler The comments on the cushions have made me smile -- we agree! That's what we thought when we walked into the room after the movers had set things up. We never would have so many pillows and it's become a joke with us as it takes a long time to make the bed! But we're getting quite fast at it!
Sweet shot. I have to say I am so jealous of your balcony shots we are at the edge of the city all I get is wires and rooftops (and not the interesting kind) so I do hope you are brave enough to take some more.
@joysfocus Thanks! The company rep who set up our temporary condo for us after the fire had very good taste! These aren't ours...but we've gotten used to having a very fancy bed setup.
have had bouts of insomnia in my life, I find this story somewhat terrifying. The wild and varied pillows are like an elegant nightmare! Jumping sounds like a good strategy to keeps those thoughts at bay. Actually, the year of insomnia came to an end when I decided I should just get up and do things and appreciate all this awake time.
Danbo almost seems lost in all those pillows! Oh, I can understand the uneasy feeling of those balconies- but I'd also be reminding myself, "How long will you be here? Take advantage of the moment!" and butterflies and all- I'd be out there shooting. Maybe I'd get used to it! And then maybe I'd talk myself out of it more often than not!
