It was sunny and warm today, quite springlike. I thought a visit to Millennium was in order so took my still-to-be-returned fisheye with me. The pavilion has been host to opera, symphony, dance troupes, pop stars, and architecture tours. Behind these seats for a long city block is a large grassy area covered with the criss-crossy things you see here, with speakers hanging all the way back. The sound is quite incredible -- perfect spot of a city picnic.

@skstein Thanks Sandy! I'm reluctantly giving it back to its owner...my daughter-in-law's dad hasn't been using it and loaned it to me for a sort of indefinite period. I've taken advantage of it but do have to give it back someday. When I do, I'll buy one for my full-frame, as I use it enough to want one of my own.
@maggiemae It is open air -- the performers are on a stage, and protected by the elements as are some of the seats toward the front, but the rest is open-air, in the middle of Millennium Park. Pritzker is the family that owns the Hyatt, etc so that's where the name came from (their donation to the city). What's amazing is they do free concerts there and literally hundreds of people will be on seats, picnic setups, etc. Very festive.
Great shot, love it in b&w. I do enjoy these shots of yours with the fish eye lens. I enjoyed a few hours downtown with my daughter, it really was a lovely sunny day.
I am loving your series of fisheye lens shots! They have all been so creative! I can understand you not being in a rush to give it back. This is another great image Taffy! Such a lot to look at and work out! Great processing too! Fav!
@bill_fe I'm not sure. We haven't gotten together in a while, so I'm guessing the next time I see them, I should at least have it in hand. I'm hoping on the one hand that he says keep it longer, and on the other, he takes it back which 'forces' me to find one for the full frame.
Fabulous shot! It's so sharp, such clean lines. And, it is the perfect subject for that fisheye lens. It makes for such an interesting, but balanced and pleasant perspective. Love it! It's a FAV for me.
Congrats on TT Taffy! Another double very well deserved! I do think that TT needs looking at though as there are often shots on there that I feel do not deserve to be there -,same people every week! Sorry for the rant but it makes me angry to see so many outstanding images there together with a few not particularly good shots. Just my opinion of course! Oh dear think I woke up in a bad mood! Lol! Your shots are always outstanding!

Congrats on PP Taffy
