Skyscraper Sunset by taffy

Skyscraper Sunset

When the sun sets over the city, the glows are sometimes as interesting as clouds over Lake Michigan. Taken from outside on the balcony -- I'm noticing that when the weather is warmer and it's not windy, it's not quite as scary as when it was cold, icy, and windy. Or, I'm getting used to it as our time here winds down.
Alternative shot of the light painting, but ETSOOI version:

There's a very old & stately hotel in the town of Bisbee, Arizona called The Copper Queen. I'd say the likes of this would steal her thunder! Magnificent

Knew the instant I saw this it was yours! Am I becoming familiar with Chicago without ever having been there?
April 16th, 2015
@onewing Thanks Babs! Yes, the balcony remains scary but I've overcome going out for a bit on the quiet days. I wouldn't want to stay out there long so am limited in what I'll set up and photograph.
April 16th, 2015
@lesip Thanks Leslie -- I will be glad to have the work of getting the house ready behind me, so in that sense, looking forward to it, but I really like this condo we are in and wish we could just stay.
April 16th, 2015
@olivetreeann Ah...that would mean one of my goals to make Chicago accessible to all is being reached!!
April 16th, 2015
@newbank We've been given a move-in range from end of May to end of June. Flooring was delivered today but there seems like a lot is still left to do.
April 16th, 2015
@sailingmusic Thanks for the lead re the movie -- it's one that looks interesting given the ads I've seen. Good to know someone who actually saw it and thought it worthwhile!
April 16th, 2015
@taffy Actually I did have one very brief stopover at O'Hare that turned into an overnight at the airport hotel about 10-12 years back. But that's not really being IN Chicago!
April 17th, 2015
