I stopped for tea in Water Tower Place's food courtyard (totally overpriced, but it felt good to sit down). And then I looked up and was struck by the way the elevator and walkways looked. Even with the widest angle, it was hard to capture the overwhelming sense of...something...materialism? extravagance? ended up deciding 'bling' was the simplest term.
The repeating and ever-smaller geometric shapes, along with the lines of the elevator, lead one right to the stars at the top. The question is... to the top of what? :)
It looks like there was a lift here - quite modern! i can see it wasn't easy to get all of it in focus including way up there so this is just excellent!
This building has rather an M C Escher feel to it.
