Yesterday I posted the exterior. Today we have walked inside. In the future, there will be the views, but first we'll have to climb the 271 stairs of the bell tower. I hadn't used my borrowed fisheye in awhile and the chapel seemed a perfect opportunity.
Since I leave tomorrow for work related meet through Sunday, my backup plan is to use the shots from the meet up yesterday to carry me through the week. I took enough to keep me busy should I have free time to post. If I don't...well...I'll comment when I can and post when possible. Wishing all a good week ahead!
This brings back memories. My son is a UofC graduate and this building was the first we visited on campus when he arrived. (His dorm was off campus by the Lake.) I like how the fisheye took this in from doorway to doorway.
Love the use of the fisheye lens here - it really gives us quite the view of the chapel. The lighting is wonderful. Hope you have a great week with a little time to yourself if possible.
@skstein It's in Hyde Park, where the University of Chicago is, a few miles south of the downtown area where I live. My dad actually went to high school at Hyde Park High in the 1930s and was on the track team. It's also where President Obama's home is in Chicago.
What a super space... love the fish eye lens and how it bends the lines. This would be such a fun space to shoot... nice job. I thought you might have returned the lens, so yay! :) Enjoy the week, all is well here. I was just having an "overloaded" moment.
Awesome use of the fisheye lens, Taffy. This is such a gorgeous shot. I love all the detail you captured so well. FAV Have a great trip and conference.
Your images are just sensational, Taffy! This, with the fisheye is exquisite! I can think of no better use for that lens than such an occasion as this!
