Taken in Japan in 2014 (June) at the Fureaikan Craft Museum, looking out a gigantic window that seemed to have its own waterfall. In the courtyard were beautiful artistic vases.
Thanks for your wonderful comments/visits/favs that put the dreary day rain shot and the kimono shots on PP for a bit today. Very motivating given how unmotivated I've felt since it turned cold and rainy.
Very cool. Motivation ebbs and flows. I was in a complete chasm not long ago. For me it comes from shooting the same places too much. So I started photographing people whenever I can. People are so unique!
@jgpittenger So exciting to think this influenced your dreams. Or as one of my friends once told me when I shared a dream I'd had: "You must lead an impoverished dream life!" I hope it was just interesting background!
Like standing behind a waterfall. With the wind and rain we are having here I have completely lost my motivation to go out with the camera. That's why I have been doing armchair photography of the birds at the feeders in my garden!! Perhaps we need a new challenge for our group Taffy? Any ideas? The only thing I can think of indoors is water droplets/crowns which I have never been able to do properly. I will do an email.
@pamknowler Water droplets/crowns are something I've only done once and not very successfully. I agree about needing some motivation! Today I did a photoshoot at the bakery in our neighborhood so I now have hundreds of cookie photos to post! But that really wouldn't be a challenge, I guess, since it would allow me to be lazy. They gave me all the props again -- so I took them to a meeting at the college for treats so that I could not eat them all myself. I have to say, it's such a fun place to photograph!
@pamknowler@888rachel -- I'd also like to learn how Rachel does such amazing macros. Although there aren't any bugs around right now... (Rachel, see comments above to make sense of this one).
@loweygrace You are so fortunate to be traveling there! Will you get to Kyoto? Tokyo? Other areas? It's such a beautiful country with such nice people!
Looks like a lovely abstract painting. I agree- it was rainy and dreary here today (thankfully still on the warm side though) and my first thought was "it's another archive day!"
