Hidden Vase by taffy

Hidden Vase

Taken in Japan in 2014 (June) at the Fureaikan Craft Museum, looking out a gigantic window that seemed to have its own waterfall. In the courtyard were beautiful artistic vases.
Thanks for your wonderful comments/visits/favs that put the dreary day rain shot and the kimono shots on PP for a bit today. Very motivating given how unmotivated I've felt since it turned cold and rainy.

Wow, this does look like a waterfall! Lovely!

This does look like you are standing behind a waterfall ...very nice!

Love your 'waterfall'. Very imaginative capture.

Love the look of cascading water.

Very interesting. The big vase can barely be seen behind the cascading water.

Love the subtle colours, too.

Love the way you've captured this Taffy. View through a waterfall. Magic

COOL SHOT

Neat shot...cool to see the pop of orange through the water

Very cool. Motivation ebbs and flows. I was in a complete chasm not long ago. For me it comes from shooting the same places too much. So I started photographing people whenever I can. People are so unique!

This shot gives an ICM effect without having to move the camera... very visually interesting - like a waterfall.

This keeps drawing me back to it. I saw it last night and it ran through my dreams. Guess if I re see it in my dreams it gets a fav!

Very artistic capture!

A very interesting and creative image

@jgpittenger So exciting to think this influenced your dreams. Or as one of my friends once told me when I shared a dream I'd had: "You must lead an impoverished dream life!" I hope it was just interesting background!

Like standing behind a waterfall. With the wind and rain we are having here I have completely lost my motivation to go out with the camera. That's why I have been doing armchair photography of the birds at the feeders in my garden!! Perhaps we need a new challenge for our group Taffy? Any ideas? The only thing I can think of indoors is water droplets/crowns which I have never been able to do properly. I will do an email.

@pamknowler Water droplets/crowns are something I've only done once and not very successfully. I agree about needing some motivation! Today I did a photoshoot at the bakery in our neighborhood so I now have hundreds of cookie photos to post! But that really wouldn't be a challenge, I guess, since it would allow me to be lazy. They gave me all the props again -- so I took them to a meeting at the college for treats so that I could not eat them all myself. I have to say, it's such a fun place to photograph!

@pamknowler @888rachel -- I'd also like to learn how Rachel does such amazing macros. Although there aren't any bugs around right now... (Rachel, see comments above to make sense of this one).
November 19th, 2015
@taffy No bugs here now Taffy. It would have to be macro with a subject indoors.

Fabulous abstract

This shot has a most appealing abstract feel Taffy. Without your explanation I'd be clueless as to the subject matter. Fav.

Cool this looks like ICM!

Very cool shot! We're going to Japan next week!

Lovely Taffy....looks like a painting.

@loweygrace You are so fortunate to be traveling there! Will you get to Kyoto? Tokyo? Other areas? It's such a beautiful country with such nice people!

Looks like a lovely abstract painting. I agree- it was rainy and dreary here today (thankfully still on the warm side though) and my first thought was "it's another archive day!"

Beautifully abstract
