Leaving for a 3 day meeting shortly so thought I'd post this and thank you all for your lovely comments on the textured orchid. I'm having so much fun with the editing software. Sorry for a group response, but here are answers to some questions:
It's called Topaz Texture Effects
It talks with Lightroom and Photoshop, but it also works independently.
It is easier to figure out that PS, but there is a learning curve regarding layers and various textures as one option.
It's possible (and fairly easy) to import your own photos to use as textures.

This is gorgeous Taffy!! I am going to do the tutorial Jane has given us a link to and hope it tell me how to use my own photo as a texture. I am also hoping to get some time to do some PS tutorials.
