Taken from Pedestrian Bridge. The foreground warehouses are now restaurants and if you enlarge you can see a guitar that marks one end of Broadway which is lined with venues of music houses/bars, restaurants, and shops. To the right is the river.
Thank you for your comments and fav's on my staircase! Always appreciated!
I have not been to Nashville in years; I was there for a teacher's conferernce in the 90s. I have friends who have started living therr in a popular suburb (Franklin?) and they looooove it
I have to admit that shots like this make me jealous - you have such a wide range of amazing places to photograph... but then I could get on a plane myself, I guess! Thanks for sharing - have a Fav for your trouble ;-))
@jgpittenger THanks Jane. It was the guitar that sold me on this image and made it worth working on -- as it gave me more sense of place than others I took that night,
@vignouse Thanks Richard...much of the current travel is to escape from dealing with delays taking occupancy in the condo we bought after selling our house after remodeling after the fire. Entering our 3rd year of being unsettled and the end is in sight this summer. In the meantime, I've been more open to traveling virtually anywhere I could make it work - and that's helped my photography considerably!
Nice shot! I remember that guitar from a very brief visit Jeff and I made to Nashville in 2007. We walked up and down Broadway checking out the music in the clubs. They had open windows and doors so you could hear the bands. It was a lot of fun- good memories!
