In took this earlier today in the Chattahoochee River National Recreation Area near Atlanta Georgia where I'm visiting a longtime friend today before a small 365 meetup tomorrow with Daryl & Junko. My friend pointed out the Cormorant Tree -- apparently there can be hundreds there at a time. Today there were only 8 of them, and this one seemed to be trying to line himself up so he'd blend in with the tree branch.
My God, woman...do you ever stay in one place for longer than a few days? Every time I check back in you are traveling to some different place (though admittedly, I sometimes get rather behind) --fun photo here, really camouflaged!
What a great capture! Perfect camouflage! How exciting- a meet up with Junko and Daryl! Have a wonderful time - say hello from me! Looking forward to seeing your shots as you got such fantastic images last time you met up! Fav!
You did a lovely job blending the textures in this shot. He does look like he is trying to blend with the branches. Pass my "hellos" along to Junko and Darryl! :) Sounds like a great time.
@olivetreeann On my way home already - just a quick visit. It's nice to have the freedom to get to see longtime friends and newer ones, connecting with fellow 365ers is great.
@mcsiegle Cracking up with your comment! I do get around, but really, the last year has been to avoid dealing with our housing situation (not being able to get into our condo because of renters and feeling like the clock had turned back as we stayed with friends or rented another condo). I'm looking forward to settling in this fall, at last.
