I spent the day today with a longstanding friend who met me in NYC (while Junko was busy working). She was catching the train back to Connecticut so I decided to see her off and photograph the main section. It's such an incredible structure.
Thanks for all your wonderful comments on the photos from yesterday's walk with Michael and Junko -- we were thrilled to see that we each had one on PP today! Another shot of the photographers at work is on: http://365project.org/taffy/the-also-ran-ph/2017-03-03
Fantastic image Taffy! It is such a wonderful building which you have captured so well but I really love the movement of the people all rushing off to somewhere! Love it! I just wish I had had a decent camera and lens with me when I visited NY! Fav!
I remember this building well from our one and only visit to NYC 3 years ago. Loved the grandness and the colour of the stone, a very beautiful building. How did you get the blurry people moving? Shutter speed? I'm not sure how to shoot movement.
Lovely, how the blurred rush of people conveys the excitement of this iconic place. Beautiful shot. Fav, of course. I read somewhere that you are headed to Iceland next week?? So fab! I am very excited for you.
One of those "musts" against black - love this building - and the way you treated this composition to bring about the feeling of activity is brilliant! Fav
@rosiekerr We're leaving next Friday and I'm so excited!!! Between now and then, though, we have to pack up our little condo and back to storage, til we sort out what we'll do when we get back (for sure a few weeks with Bill and Junko). So very excited and also know the time will fly this coming week!
I like the combination of some people blurred with movement and yet others are quite clear, Your choice of B&W highlights the detail of the building beautifully.
capturing the grandeur and bustle
Very deserving! FAV!
