Last shot (taken yesterday, processed today) from 2017, closing out Year 5 which is hard to believe. This is a combination of 12 vertical shots merged in LR and then cleaned up in LR and PS. I was out for about 20 minutes and could not feel my fingertips -- it's warming up today to almost 5 degrees F (not C). So still very cold!
Hoping everyone is in a good place on this first day of 2018.
It looks like the ice and cold has diminished Chicago as if to demonstrate the force of mighty nature. Great winter scene and it looks perfectly stitched.

@pamknowler After I saw your note about gaps, I did a closer look and came to the exact same conclusion. Not worth trying to fill in, so hippo ended up being the only one I added (because I liked it!). Thanks for the kind comment!
Super image! I find the city so beautiful when it starts to freeze, that said it is bloody cold out there at the mo, once it hits the high teens it will feel like spring lol!

This is stunning! Love the scalloped ice (what causes that?)in the foreground, the ice cold looking water, the city in the background. It's all so beautiful. I know nothing about merging photos so I am very impressed! Fav.
This is one impressive pano image, I spent ages just looking at it. I simply can't imagine being in that kind of cold, we think 5C is freezing. Do hope your fingers are OK now. I wish I had more than one fav to give, this photo is quite special.
Wonderful Chicagoland pano - so many shots, beautifully stitched together. I bet this one had your laptop chugging along for a while! I can feel the icy chill from here. Very brave of you to be outside in that weather. Fav for the bravery and the result. :)
