Looking Up on a Sunny Day by taffy

Looking Up on a Sunny Day

Andie @ukandie1 and I were able to go on another walking tour by the Chicago Architectural Foundation, this time to the Illinois Center Pedway and surrounding area. One spot was a hidden plaza situated among skyscrapers and some classic structures like the Wrigley Building.
Taken with a fisheye lens.
Check out Andie's -- same spot, different lens (and her stellar b&w processing!): https://365project.org/ukandie1/365/2018-02-27
Wonderful composition here! Almost a logo.

What a fun shot the fish eye makes...I was going to post earlier, but was dithering between a few shots. Now seeing this I know what I will post in the morning when I get back to my computer.

@ukandie1 Oh good -- I was about to link and saw you hadn't yet posted. The fisheye shots ended up being fun. A good change of pace.

I've gotta get one of those lenses. This is a fantastic shot, the unusual perspective concentrates my eye on the architectural variations. I love it.

this is one that makes me go wow as soon as I see it, but then continue to enjoy it more as I study it. Those two tall buildings appear to be talking to each other, and there is a whole splendid audience beyond.
