In contrast to yesterday's shot taken at sunrise, I was able to capture the blue hour from a similar angle (Sears Tower location shows the slight variation), but on the 11th floor rather than the 4th.
Hopefully, Jim gets released tomorrow as he's doing well, meaning no more shots from these windows...a tradeoff I'm willing to make!
Taken with iPhone, cleaned up (lots of reflections from interior lights) using PS and LR.
Great shot Taffy. Which one is the Sears Tower? ;) You can always tell a true Chicagoan. I don't think too many people truly think of it as a Willis Tower.
Fabulous leading line and the lights are fabulous too. What a great photo! Hope you and Jim see tomorrow’s blue hour from your condo and not the hospital!
I really like the different segments of this image moving from bare concrete on the right to the tall buildings on the left. The strong leading lines of the road and its traffic are terrific. Good to hear Jim's on the mend and home soon.
This is so beautiful! I just love your city views at any time of day! So pleased it’s good news for Jim! It will be good for you both once he is home! Huge fav!
I love all the different colours in this! The street lights, the head lights, the tail lights are all different and you picked the right time to take it to get so much detail. Just love it!
It is wonderful. Well worth the clean up ( I have no idea how you would do that). What an incredible view. (I am currently having a giggle comparing this to what a scene taken out of any of our hospital windows would show).I particularly like the way the highway has become such an integral and happy part of the composition.
My best wishes to Jim - wishing him a swift recovery. I like the lighting in this one - it seems to make the never ending stream of cars the main item of interest.
to good advantage!
