Evening Commute at the Blue Hour by taffy

Evening Commute at the Blue Hour

In contrast to yesterday's shot taken at sunrise, I was able to capture the blue hour from a similar angle (Sears Tower location shows the slight variation), but on the 11th floor rather than the 4th.
Hopefully, Jim gets released tomorrow as he's doing well, meaning no more shots from these windows...a tradeoff I'm willing to make!
Taken with iPhone, cleaned up (lots of reflections from interior lights) using PS and LR.
Tom
This is fantastic the blue contrasted with the golden lights of rush hour

Amazing - such a fav for me!
March 7th, 2018
Nice clean up of reflections, and great view of the city...there is a feeling of isolation!

Gorgeous! Fav

Excellent, Taffy!
March 7th, 2018
Super shot. The journey out of the city seems to be much faster than the journey in.
March 7th, 2018
Nice shot. Bet you're glad not to be in that traffic. Glad Jim is better.
March 7th, 2018
Love the composition, leading lines and colors in this super capture

March 7th, 2018
Talk about a Leading Line! Dynamic composition. And glad Jim is well enough to go home tomorrow night. Sushi?
March 7th, 2018
Great shot Taffy. Which one is the Sears Tower? ;) You can always tell a true Chicagoan. I don't think too many people truly think of it as a Willis Tower.
March 7th, 2018
Spectacular.... as @jyokota said great leading lines...
March 7th, 2018
Fabulous leading line and the lights are fabulous too. What a great photo! Hope you and Jim see tomorrow’s blue hour from your condo and not the hospital!
March 7th, 2018
I really like the different segments of this image moving from bare concrete on the right to the tall buildings on the left. The strong leading lines of the road and its traffic are terrific. Good to hear Jim's on the mend and home soon.
March 7th, 2018
BTW, how come hospitals seem to have wonderful views from their windows. The main hospitals in Geelong have million-dollar views.
March 7th, 2018
Glad to hear Jim's going home and that you got to use your phone camera
to good advantage!
March 7th, 2018

This is so beautiful! I just love your city views at any time of day! So pleased it’s good news for Jim! It will be good for you both once he is home! Huge fav!
March 7th, 2018
I like the way the perspective makes it look as if the city has more streets than buildings... and I like that Jim will soon be back home with you 😊
March 7th, 2018
Ditto what Richard said
March 7th, 2018
All those people crammed in that space ...

Marvellous composition, stunning shot
March 7th, 2018
It is wonderful. Well worth the clean up ( I have no idea how you would do that). What an incredible view. (I am currently having a giggle comparing this to what a scene taken out of any of our hospital windows would show).I particularly like the way the highway has become such an integral and happy part of the composition.
March 7th, 2018
Wonderful shot

March 8th, 2018
My best wishes to Jim - wishing him a swift recovery. I like the lighting in this one - it seems to make the never ending stream of cars the main item of interest.
