I saw this on a street corner as I was walking home from downtown. I'm sure there is a story to be told here, but have no idea what it might be. Somehow, I don't think it would be a happy one. It's not conventional street photography, but I thought there is a person implied here.

Fabulous capture. I have often seen single shoes on the roads and highways and wondered how they got there. This is so different, something must have happened there.
Fascinated that it is next to that uneven dip in the pavement. Maybe the person turned their ankle over and fell.......I broke my ankle doing that once! Intriguing......you want to know the story, don't you?
Now this illustrates the difference between us. I too saw some abandoned boots yesterday, but it never occurred to me that there was a story there. It should have, they were pink children's rubber boots. Here we have the mystery of the single abandoned boot amid the decay of the urban scene. Very thought provoking photo!
well spotted and by taking the photo you have suggested the story and certainly have us all thinking ... maybe even worrying. Black and white seems good choice for this.
That's my missing boot how did it get to you over the border. Someone's playing with me for sure as I have been looking for this right boot. I thought the boot was lost somewhere in one of the closets but you found it. True I'm missing a boot it was the first thought I had but it may not be. Still very thought provoking I still haven't found my boot. FAV
