The sun setting tonight provided quite a show. While I'll miss the city, I'm looking forward to island life for a while.
Will be back online once we are settled in. While I don't exactly know what the numbers represent, in Chicago our wireless uploads at 800MB per minute. On the island, it does so at 5MB/minute. Frustration lies ahead I suspect.
Utterly stunning, who needs TV when Mother Nature provides this kind of show. 5MB/minute cf 800? About the speed differential between a lethargic snail and a greyhound on steroids. Best just chillax and enjoy the p&q. Start your upload, make a cuppa and kick back.
Such an exquisite sunset! What fun for you that you're off to rest and relaxation...though I can not imagine the frustration of a slow internet! We leave this weekend for Costa Rica and off to MA and on to Lunenburg on the 23rd! Winter certainly went by fast!
Beautiful sunset. Love your Chicago images, but also love your Beaver Island images. Looking forward to what you see. As for upload speeds, we used to be DSL @ 5 mb which could be a bit laggy. We are now fiber optic @ 10 mb and I feel like I'm on the information highway instead of a backroad. I can't image the instantaneous experience of 800mb! My service provider told me that my need for speed depended on how many devices were trying to use my service at one time. It's true ... my son has also has a 10mb service, but his wireless is much, much faster than mine as he only has one or two devices using it. I share mine with our office, as well as at least half a dozen in home devices. Still, it's so much better than what I had before I'm a happy camper. Hope you will be too!
What a beautiful farewell sky. Most impressive. It does sound that there might be a little frustration ahead with a difference of speed like that - of course it depends whether you are talking download or upload speed, the two can be quite different on the same line.
What a fabulous sunset Taffy and a glorious goodbye to Chicago. I am so looking forward to your Beaver Island images. I find it so interesting the difference in your life in the big city to your relaxed life on the island. I remember when I first saw your Beaver Island shots years ago and had to ask where it was as I had never heard of it!! You learn so much on 365!! LOL!! Safe travels and enjoy your island stay!! Fav!
Don't be threatened by a slow service provider it's all part of slowing us down as we so love instant. So be encouraged to continue to upload your amazing photos as there is a number of us who can't wait to see what you see through your lens. This photo is so amazing and inspiring. FAV
