The Jane Byrne Interchange by taffy

The Jane Byrne Interchange

This is a billion-some dollar renovation to the busiest intersection in the United States. It's near the University of Illinois at Chicago campus (upper left corner). We've been living through construction for almost 6 years already. Still lots to do, but interesting to see from above on the Sears (currently, Willis) Tower Observation Deck.
Wow- talk about a tangled web of roads! This vantage point really emphasizes it! And it's also nicely bleak in black and white! Good shot.

Awesome view of it. My friends' mother's name is Jane Byrne, but she's from Missouri, not Chicago.

Oh my. The busiest intersection in America?! There’s nothing like road construction, it’s a part of our life now but that doesn’t mean we have to love it. I always marvel that everything comes together and a car can get from point A to Point B when everything is complete.
