We made the best of the very foggy and rainy and snowy first morning (out by 5:15 a.m. for a sunrise that never happened) at the Grand Canyon. Our next stop was an area of Ponderosa trees that ended up being one of my favorite spots for photographing of the day -- even when the fog lifted. Thanks Junko @jyokota for being an unknowing subject in the shot! BTW, this is actually in color.

I love all the photos from you three today. How wonderful to experience the Grand Canyon together! Jerry still tells everyone about me getting him up at 5:00 AM to photograph the sunrise at the Canyon’s Watch Tower. What a magical place.
Wow - having only been to the Grand Canyon is hot weather I never realised it could be like this. Not good for the canyon photos - but this is wonderful.
