After gale force winds last night, tonight's sky was clear as could be. Looking northeast, just north of the building I posted yesterday (so admittedly, while we don't have a great view of the river any longer, I can't really complain.
With a view like this how can you complain! Fav. You would complain if you were some twenty storeys lower, not being able to see anything beyond the next building.
This is so fabulous, oh my. Perhaps it’s an optical illusion, but your image looks like your viewpoint (balcony) is higher than any of these incredible buildings.
Do you really live that high up? What a view you have! So you have a view both day and night while most of us only have day views. This photo is really amazing with the light and the lines. FAV!
@louannwarren@stownsend We aren't even in the top 50 of tallest buildings, so we're on the 33rd floor of our building. Some of them in the distance are twice that height, and the really tall (Sears, Hancock buildings) are over 90 stories. But because we are across the highway in what is called the West Loop, we have the dramatic broad view to the east. Very lucky.
I never cease wondering at the magnificent view you have from your eyrie and this photo is no exception. Amazing clarity, so clear it almost looks like a model.
OOOhhhh -- like diamonds twinkling across the sky! You always have a photographic scene right outside your window, but your captures are so varied and each beautifully taken!
Beautifully captured city nightscape
