One of Amelia Island's main industries (beyond tourism) is their paper mill. We had some nerd-fun watching trucks unloading logs onto huge conveyers and exploring some of the more public, accessible spots. But I liked this long few that captures the complexity of the site.
Thanks for your kind response to the pelican shot. There will be more! Such fun birds.
what a fabulous eye catching image. There is so much going on in the structures of the paper mill and you have brought out all the detail and the colouring so beautifully.
You know I'm always a fan of industrial shots Taffy, and this is a beauty. You've captured the complexity alright, and very well too. So much detail and so well composed. Wow.
so atmospheric, the smoke from the chimney stands out cry for attention - the pollution from the paper mill to the air and water. Great shot with all the details.
A fabulous photo!! But, I seem to remember that you have been to Tasmania Taffy . This reminds me of the wood chip mills down there - turning old growth native forest into wood chip!! Very divisive!
Hm… now there’s a concept! ;-p
