While it rained continuously on Amelia Island, we made the most of it. Friends from Beaver Island took me around town -- paper mill, shrimp boats, harbor with pelicans, a great book store -- in hopes that I'd have a few photo ops between rain showers. We lucked out with the pelican stop -- though they were pretty drenched.
Flying home tomorrow and will start catching up on Wednesday (along with dieting!).
Good grief...it's already April!
Absolutely super shot of these pelicans - the rain just added to the look. Lighting is wonderful. These guys just intrigued me when I first saw them last April in Florida.
Great capture, drenched pelicans!!! I know that area pretty well. We stored our sailboat at a marina north of town for 3 years then every Dec. we'd take it over to the Bahamas for several months.
Wonderful wonderful photo. The details in the pelicans, composition, the dark light still full of rain, and the perfect colourful bokeh in the back ground. Fav
Into each life some rain must fall. If it was raining on the first day of vacation my husband wouldn't want to leave but I always made it fun for him and well he never got over not wanting to leave once on the trip he was happy.
