Wait til the Light Turns Green? But, I'm Colorblind!
I went downtown to take architecture and train shots and ended up totally impressed with this perfectly behaved dog, carrying his own lead and waiting patiently at the light. He is a beauty -- I had just enough time to fire off a few shots, and liked how he was watching his person in this one.
Thank you so much for getting my earlier pelican image on TT this week!
@stevepo LOL re the heels. When I was processing the photos I was looking at how to clone out the weird stuff he had stepped on and then realized it was the heel to his shoe! Thanks for the comment/visit!
Very well seen, and caught on camera. Very well trained and obedient dog. He was watching owner for a go signal, not a verbal command that might be lost in a noisy city. It was probably just a little nod of the head or something similar that would move him on. The holding his lead in his mouth is for two reasons, one it's bending the rules / laws saying dogs must be on a lead all the time, and the second is a form of showing off how clever, intelligent and well behaved my dog is. The owner could quite easily have stuck the lead in his pocket, knowing he doesn't need it, but by getting the dog to carry its own lead it was drawing attention to him. Result a great image
@markp I like your 'think aloud' of what this image represents! And given how busy the streets are, your interpretation is right on -- this owner knew he could totally trust his pup.
Wonderful find and so nicely photographed. Photographing just the bottom half of the man takes the focus off the man and puts it directly on the dog, where it belongs. I love the dog of course! Fav
@koalagardens@365karly1 Thank you both so much for letting me know! I only wish I'd given his person my card so I could have shared the image with them.
Congratulations on the TT, very well deserved.
