We'd (Andie, Junko, me) been planning this photo event for a month or more, and watching the weather anxiously. Despite fog rolling in, we kept our hopes up. As it neared the fireworks starting time of 9:45, fog thickened in the EXACT spot where the fireworks would be. We could hear them in all their grandeur but this was the only view we had and it lasted for only a few seconds. I was lucky to be camera ready and pointing in the right direction when one of the first ones peeked over the fog. Last week's practice session paid off. Looks better on black for those who have time. @ukandie @jyokota
Stunning on black. So beautiful. May I say, one more time, that the Chicago TV stations should see your images, they would show them on every newscast.
Who cares about the fireworks if you have that silky fountain water... and I dare say the firework poking out of the fog is much more interesting that ordinary fireworks shots!
It was a fun night, despite the fog! I was excited when I saw this lonely, sole image of a firework!
