Nice cooperative cardinal hopped along the fencing getting closer and closer to me.
Thanks for your wonderful fun comments on my bird meeting scene yesterday! I'm really enjoying bird photography, though it's quite humbling, I'm finding. Of 400 photos, I've deleted 230 of them.
New challenge I'm hosting so please think about joining in as there are loads of options within the theme: https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/44900/technique-challenge-114-long-exposure
How thrilling that he wanted to be photographed. Before Covid David used to go out with the bird watching group and he would often come home with photos of trees and bushes because the birds had flown. He did get some good photos but as you say a lot have to be deleted.
@onewing It was nice to read that my experience is typical! I had tons of shots of blurry birds, headless birds, a lone wing, etc. But it is good to have such a challenge. I don't know much about birds so I'm also learning how to even find them in trees. I do best when a bird finds me, like this cardinal did.
