More from the workshop (by Nick Sinnott at Chicago Photography Classes) focused on the role of light. For this image, light captured swirls of smoke, color created through gels placed over the light source.
Thank you for your comments/response to yesterday's post from the workshop, using milk droplets. For those curious, the five stations included: (a) milk droplets colliding (yesterday's post), (b) smoke swirls (today's), (c) objects splashing in a filled aquarium tank, (d) water droplets colliding using different backgrounds, and (e) photographing bubbles. I now wish I'd taken photos of the stations so I could have shared them!
