Day 3 - Richmond: On the Dinosaur Trail

115kms down the road from Hughenden is the small town of Richmond (pop'n 650) and like Hughenden, is as neat as a pin. Like Hughenden, Richmond is part of the Dinosaur Trail and is the home of the Marine Fossil Museum, Kronosaurus Korner. Kronosaurus was a marine reptile that grew up to 11mtrs in length and strangely, the dinosaur represented on this billboard is not Kronosaurus.

The area bounded by Hughenden, Richmond and Winton to the south is often referred to as the Dinosaur Triangle. The area is rich in dinosaur fossils that have only relatively recently been discovered.

Don't bother to comment. Just telling a story.
