This sign, about 30km west of Camooweal in the Northern Territory was here when we did this drive 25 years ago and I have often referred to it when describing driving on the Barkly Highway to other people.
What the sign is really saying is "After 450kms of driving, the best we can offer you, apart from a service station, is another road to drive on." LOL I love it
What is different this time around is that there is grass in this photo and some of it is even green. Wow!! They had a good wet season this year and what should have been a red desert was mostly a carpet of grass.
