The Tradition Continues

Day 18 - Jabiru, Kakadu NP

We always get a photo of Rhoda with the pilot whenever we go on a scenic flight.

I have always wanted to see Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls in Kakadu but because of the extended wet season this year, the roads into the falls were closed so the only way to see them was from the air. We tried to get onto one of the helicopter flights but they were booked out but we managed to find a flight on a small Cessna that would have to do.

Turned out pretty well as there was just the two of us and we just nominated a time that suited us and we were good to go.

Rhoda just likes to get her arm round a uniform!! The road to Jim Jim falls was closed when we were there but it didn't dawn on us that we might be able to fly over! Looking forward to seeing the photos!

Sounds like a real win with the flight. We had a similar experience at Cobbold Gorge and managed to get onto a helicopter.

It's a great flight :) We did the same thing back in 2004 - love the views from up high!

We did a helicopter flight over the area in 2014. It was amazing.
