We had the double bubble a couple of days ago, now it is time for the toil part of the process. Ready to bottle a brew. I transfer the brew from the carboy to another plastic container, add the priming sugar which will provide secondary fermentation and bubbles in the bottle and then bottle the brew.
Borrrring but I started the brewing cycle and now I have to finish it. I hope this is the most uninspiring photo I get to post :-(
Ooo! I love the bottles! There's lots of cool photo possibilities in one of those. Good luck with the toiling part of this task. Have yourself a cold one when you're all done with the work!
@karlow75@pdavies@gilbertwood@digitalrn@trudi@thresheg@ribbet9@moxy@homeschoolmom@mvangent@sabanford@radiogirl@vegansusan@lyndemc Hi Everyone and thank you for visiting and your comments. Everyone seemed to be rather intrigued with the bottles. These bottles once contained Grolsch Premium lager and are known as Grolsch flip tops. Grolsch is a dutch Brewery and is certainly one of my favourite beers. The older bottles hold 500mls; these were replaced by 473 ml bottles and then in more recent years by 450ml bottles. They are great for home brewing since the bottles are resealable and you don't have to worry about putting caps on. I have over 600 Grolsh bottles which I try to keep full and which my son and his friends try to keep empty. At any time, I have a choice of about a dozen different brews to choose from for a drink. Life's a bitch.
