Portholes

I've walked past and admired this building many many times; it has an interesting history too.
Unfortunately it is not open to the public.
It sounds like it could be interesting inside. I love the round windows and the beautiful door.

I have googled this and what a great place. Do you know how old the building is and its original purpose?

@wakelys It was officially opened in 1928 its original purpose was as a Parish Hall. It was also used as an overflow for a local infant school in the 1930's and a British Restaurant during WWII providing low cost meals to local residents and workers. It's now a listed building and has opened its doors during Open House London a couple of times and I'm hoping it will do so again.

A beautiful perspective on this building. I really like its architecture and I read its interesting story in your comment above.

It's certainly well cared for and has such a stately manner. Great shot!
