Rosie was left alone for just 5 minutes and this and a big wee in the kitchen was the result. We really need to work on her separation issues when all this is over. Luckily it wasn’t my book 😊
Doggone it! Many years ago when we had a pair of Shelties I checked a brand new dog training book out of the library... one of them chewed it up a bit... much less than this is chewed and I offered to pay for the book but they left it in circulation slightly chewed and refused my offer.
So I gather Rosie is your dog? Can you hear me laughing knowingly? Our case(s) weren't a dog, but, first, a litter-trained "House Rabbit". No piddly accidents, but, too late we learned, as lagomorphs, their teeth grow and they Have to Chew! We now refer to those books that were on a bottom shelf as having "deckled edges"! Years later, we had a cockatiel that also had a penchant for leaving his signature on paper goods! And yes, with the passage of time, those are some of our fondest memories of those two!
@tinley2 You are right about that! Better than the book that got returned to me when I worked as a school librarian... it was completely soaked from falling in the toilet.
I hadn’t heard of Bernard Knight or the Crowner John mysteries so I did a Google search. They sound interesting so I might give them a try. Bernard Knight should pay Rosie a commission.
