Margaret and I first met when we were 11, and had just started senior school. We lost touch for many years after getting married and having children. Then, one day, about 4 years ago, I was on a train with Dirk and a woman in the next carriage was pointing our way and waving. I didn’t recognise her and assumed that she was waving at someone else, but she came up to me once we’d got off the train, and I recognised her as my old best friend. We’ve met up every 4-6 weeks ever since (COVID permitting).
Today we met in Shenstone, exactly half way between us. This was taken on our way home as we had to wait on opposite platforms for our trains. We had had such a good day mooching about round the village (more photos to follow) and a local garden centre.
What a lovely story! It must have been so exciting to meet again after all those years. Nice capture of her and she looks a lovely person and have as a friend.
