The council, in all their wisdom, decided to churn up the patch of wildflowers on the green before they had chance to flower, but this little guy managed to escape and to battle footfall, dogs, petrol fumes, etc, to thrive at the edge of the pavement on the busy Birmingham to Lichfield road. Go poppy!!!

Stupid……councils have little since! I get so cross as they mow the roadsides before the daffodils have died off. No wonder they are going less! They are more bothered about looking neat & tidy never mind the flowers.
