Paimpont Abbey by vignouse

Paimpont Abbey

Today has been one of those difficult days for this project. I am a member of a small group who look after 4 acres of Parish Gardens and today we reverted to kit-form two very large trees (30m in height) which were blown down in the recent gales: although 10 men wielding chainsaws might have made an interesting shot, to have tried to take one would have been neither welcomed nor prudent.

After getting home at 6.00pm, I had to go out again just after 7.00pm for a meeting. On my return, the rain having abated to a steady drizzle, I just had time to photograph the Abbey before the floodlighting went off at 11.00pm... you'll be seeing more of this building before the year is out!
Some people just don't understand our artistic pulls. This is really lovely. Second large building on my home page today. I love architecture. Find it an interest artistic expression.

@joansmor @lab4693 @shannejw @tosee Thanks all - the Abbey is one of my favourite places. I tried for a reflection picture in the puddles but they were too small/far away... next time.
