... it is suggested that, for this the third week of Macro March, we should look to feature more everyday items. I guess a fountain-pen is not so 'everyday' any more, but I still use one.

Lovely! I had a gold nib pen with which I used peacock blue ink I drew up from the bottle - but somehow the pen went missing years ago. How lovely to see a "real" pen again!
@therubysusan Mrs S always uses peacock blue ink - my preference is for brown. This is my ordinary pen, I bounced the Scheaffer recently and haven't got round to getting a new nib for it yet.
How lovely to see an italic nib, we all had to write italic at school. My preference was turquoise Quink. At school a man used to come round and fill the ceramic inkwells with a teapot filled with ink!!
