@joansmor Hi Joan and thank you for your nice comments. This has not actually received much processing: when I spotted this rather battered first iris in our friends' garden I thought that a high-key 'painterly' effect would work. I lit the shot using a ring flash to produce an essentially shadowless image and over-exposed by two stops to produce the high-key effect. The rest was just my normal raw conversion processing in Lightroom.

@vignouse Thank you. I am thinking if I get a high-key challenge I need to figure it out. Wouldn't have thought to use my flash outside. Not a big flash person. Another area I need to learn. Thanks for yesterday too. My camera is working fine. Now I put the auto focus back on the lens.
