The Château du Rox can be found about 2 km south of the village of Concoret in Brittany. There have been buildings on this site from the 12th C but the château you see here was built in the mid-19th C and is the family home of the de Genouillac family. It's peculiarity (for a building of its type) is that it is surrounded by a moat which can be seen in the photo
@frankhymus Thanks Frank - it didn't threaten for very long before passing on to the act... but I was back in the car by then! I'm not complaining because it's the stormy weather that gives that lovely light.
The grey slate roof and the slate grey sky and the sliver of blue slate lake are beautiful seen against all those fresh spring greens. Oh and I think there is a stately house in there too. :) Wonderful composition.
