Château de Trécesson by vignouse

Château de Trécesson

The Château de Trécesson at Campenéac, Britanny dates from 843 AD and the current building from 1440. The oldest part of the current building is the two towers and arched entrance way which you see here.

For more information and a view of the whole château, see my today's post for @se7en at http://365project.org/se7en/365/2014-08-09
The towers flanking the gate house have a magical fairy tale feel to them. Love the way the wall leads the eye into the image and the beautiful arch. It's fascinating to see that little row of windows under the roof. It looks like they've glazed the archery slits too. Fabulous fav

There should be banners on the towers and knights in armor riding through the gate. Fabulous.

lovely shot... the tones are beautiful

@janiskay The effect that you see is structure enhancement, essentially increasing the relative contrast of the mid-range tonal values. This was editited firstly in Lightroom 5.6 then in Colour Efex-4 Pro and then again in Lightroom.
