A Remnant of 2014... by vignouse

A Remnant of 2014...

As every year at this time, the garden is looking rather sad. Those plants and flowers which have flowered unseasonably late because of the mild weather, have now succumbed to the sharp frosts. Except for this one rose-bud which sits proudly at the top of a very long stem and resists what ever vagaries the weather presents.
Beautiful!

There are times I read too much into a picture. When I first viewed this my thought was it reminded me of the end of life. It is a well captured photo.

Lovely shot Richard... it looks near the end but its part of the larger plant which, hopefully, lives on.
