I am going through one of those patches that we all go through from time to time where I'm finding inspiration hard to come by. I don't want to keep doing the same old same old so I resolved today to grasp the problem by the scruff of the neck and do something different. This is a reflection of trees in a forest puddle, flipped, processed in LR and stylised in Topaz Adjust. This wasn't a happy processing accident - this was the image I had in my head when I set out on my forest walk, but it did take me a little while to find the right processing to achieve my vision... this is near enough.
There's such depth in this image. I studied it a bit (on black) before reading your commentary because it's very intriguing. Well done, finding the right editing to create your vision.
Thanks for the comment shared about this year's brown project. I've been comparing it to last year's project too which might not be a good idea.
@jborrases@lyndemc Thanks JB and Denise - there are pebbles and things standing proud of the water; there are things under the water but visible; there are things floating on the water and there is dappled light playing on some parts of the surface which reduces the contrast... it seemed like a fun subject!
@jgpittenger@365projectlinda@fntngrma Thank you ladies, but I wouldn't want to give you the wrong impression of my abilities! What I had in my mind's eye was an image of reflected trees and an image of a forest puddle with each melding with and modifying the other so as to produce a third image... I've got a funny mind!
Good for you for not giving up. I often have a vision in mind and never get the right picture or the right processing to accomplish my goal. That can be a real downer. Success breeds more success. I love your bw reflections. Mine was too busy for bw. I do enjoy working in bw but fall screams for color and my world will turn bw all too soon.
I would like to have this level of creativity, especially when finding inspiration hard to come by! Also love that you imaged an end result in your head and then set out to accomplish it so well... Fav!

You have beautiful things in your head Richard , and especially the talent to sustain your images . FAV
