Worship! by vignouse

Worship!

I was privileged to spend this morning, along with 600 other Christians, at a presentation by the Archbishop of Rennes, Saint Malo and Dol de Bretagne of the diocesan project for 2017. Our Archbishop is very dynamic - a bit of a showman even - and I was especially pleased that every aspect of the morning had no apology to make to the world of business or show-business - in every respect the presentation was Professional with a capital P... which is how the church needs to present itself in the 21stC.

Here we are being 'warmed up' by the musicians and presenters before participating in a time of worship and celebration... isn't it wonderful how young they all are.
The youthfulness of the musicians was the first thing I noticed. I know it had to be a very special day with the Archbishop.

I don't know you well enough to know if you do much post processing or not. I like this because of your composition but also because I detect a very slight HDR look to this. Just enough to make the performers look 3 dimensional. FAV!

@skipt07 Thank you Skip. Many of my images are SOOC, especially the B&W ones but I do process when I think it will enhance the image. In this one I've pushed the mid-tone contrasts which is what gives it that slight air of HDR.

You are a wonderful recorder of your community events both church and village.

This is a great shot of the musicians. I'm a little old school in that I like the dignity of the "high church" music. I enjoy something quite out of the box once in a while. As today's sermon indicated, it gives a little salt (taste, zest) to worship. There is something for everyone if one just looks. And yes, it's wonderful to see all the young people. Keep 'em coming!
