Paimpont Abbey by vignouse

Paimpont Abbey

Another busy day so I'm falling back on an old favourite captured when I had to go out on an errand late this afternoon.

This is for Touch of Red 2017 and also B&W 7.
I need to live where you live.

It looks a beautiful building and your images make it so interesting, must come down your way next time we visit France.

I like that leading road.

Beautiful old abbey. I can see why you like to photograph it.

The grounds look so barren compared to other photos of it.

@vignouse sounds tempting...a minimum of for years for sure.

@randystreat @seattlite Thank you both - in this view you only see one of the three wings so it does look plainer. The other two wings give on to the lake so this aspect is what visitors to the Abbey have first seen for over 8 centuries!

It's so easy to take this for granted as I see it almost daily. This shot brings me up short and makes me relais how fortunate I am to live at Paimpont.
