I posted a picture in this album yesterday of Rebecca who introduced us to the history and practice of Flamenco Dancing in an event organised and sponsored by our local library. Here's another view of Rebecca in full dramatic action: she might look as though she is posing but in fact I caught her as she paused briefly at the end of a series of rapid pirouettes. Watching her pick that train up with her foot and flick it round at the end of each rotation in a seemingly effortless fashion, confirmed her mastery of her craft - she has just done that in this image.
Not only was this a superb performance, she also changed her tenue...the lower half...2 or 3 times, adding a certain no sé qué. There is nothing as refined as a dressing room, so Rebecca's rapid change of tenue was at the foot of the stairs leading to the Presbytery. Think lofty stone walls, built in the C17th, no heating, ...and very cold.
...and BTW shot is a Fav!
