Jacqueline and I are both members of a local photo club and, with three other members, we have collaborated with the local maternity hospital to produce an exhibition on 'Birth'. We were waiting to show the final selection of photos to the maternity unit staff and their prior meeting was running late. A little bored, I turned my camera on and raised it to take a candid of Jacqueline. She was in the middle of saying 'Oh no., I hate having my photograph taken' (or rather, the equivalent in French) when I pressed the shutter button! I have promised to send her a copy of this... but I didn't promise not to post it on 365 ;-))
@skipt07 It's been a great privilege Skip, I got to photograph two natural births and two caesarean births as well as all aspects of the daily life of the maternity unit.
We should be long past the age of boredom, finding/making time for all we want and/or needs must do is a daily juggling phenomenon. Yet sometimes we just need to chill out and say 'No' without hesitation and conviction.
@jgpittenger I'd love to Jane but our agreement with the families is that all images will only be exhibited by the sponsorising bodies - the local arts centre and the maternity unit itself. We do have a guest bedroom... !
