Cranes towering over the old quarter of Rennes

Happily they're not constructing some modern monstrosity which would ruin this historic area. This is the construction site for a new metro station which will be underground with only discreet entrance stairways to be seen above ground.

More dramatic viewed on black.
Really like how the lines are formed by those cranes and how they contrast with the age of the buildings. So well seen.

Beautiful contrast and it looks fantastic with the black background. The buildings and clouds are beautiful.

Why cranes overhead when all is going to be under ground? I guess you can't build anything anymore without one. We have a few around town too.

I like the low POV and sense of being overwhelmed by the construction.
