NF-SOOC-2017 - Day 4: Medieval Chinon by Night

This is Day 4 in my annual NF-Sooc-September challenge: a month of sooc pictures taken with a 50mm lens or its equivalent for crop-sensor cameras. You can read all about it here - https://365project.org/discuss/themes-competitions/30294/nf-sooc-september-2017

Wherever you go in medieval Chinon the town and the view are dominated by the Château. This is especially apparent at night when the floodlit Château seems to brood over the rabbit warren of crooked streets. This is the east tower which housed Joan of Arc's quarters on the top floor.

Goes without saying that this will view better on black!
I can imagine the people running through the streets by night (as is often the case in fictional stories in similar settings).

As you say best on black where I felt the enclosing black night and alley walls . Such a good shot.

Joan of Arc's, tower lit in this way, makes a great shot.
