What a splendid investment for 2 amaryllis plants! Each has has 2 stems with at least 4 blooms. This red one measures 55 cm whilst the white one is 65 cm tall and is now sporting 6 buds on its second stem. Furthermore they came ready planted. All this for €3.47 each!

wowzer. rich red - all those different shades - works so well against the white. i'm finding that my newish em5 mk ii happily has much less noise at high ISO, but i haven't pushed it to 6400 yet!
I've done many shots of amaryllis over the years but I'm not sure I ever got that nice of a bright exposure on white. Nice. (Maybe I'll try again this year when ours blooms.)
so beautiful. I love the backlighting. I love amaryllis flowers. I have a friend who called her daughter Amaryllis. a beautiful flower, but I am not so sure I would want to be saddled with it as a name.
