...Mr Yellow Spider enjoying an al-fresco lunch at the Rose Bloom restaurant. (Incidentally, the pair of them together were less than 2cm long tail-to-tail.)
Update: this is not a plastic spider as some people initially thought! Thanks to @haskar I can tell you that is a Flower Crab Spider of the genus Misumena vatia; they can change colour over a few days to match the colour of the flower they are feeding in.
@maggiemae Thanks Maggiemae. I'm pretty sure this is one of hundreds of types of hoverfly and they neither bite nor sting. In any event, when a spider first attacks its prey, it bites then inserts two fangs (normally hidden) through which it injects its prey with a powerful neurotoxin which either kills or paralyses its prey immediately.
First look at this picture i thought u set up a composition with a yellow plastic spider :) It's an incredible shot and a very good looking bright yelllow spider eating his meal... fav
