30 Shots for April - Day 22: Strange Bedfellows

@annied is hosting a challenge for April to take 30 shots of the same subject - since I've been struggling for inspiration all year, I've chosen to join in just for the fun of it. I have decided that my subject will be the glass cabinet in our kitchen - here's the twenty-second glimpse of what you might find within..

...a rather delicate, almost transparent bone-china cup and saucer and a rather more robust Chinese teacup and saucer.
What treasures and so well shot. Now you have the photos for your insurance!

such contrasts between the two cups and saucers - I do love the darker version

My mother and grandmother collected tea cups. I shared some with my friends, because I'm afraid for the most part, I prefer a mug. My big knuckles get caught in the dainty handles. But I do enjoy being a "lady" every now and again. These are lovely.

Interesting contrast. I do love the rich colours and the intense expressions on the men’s faces in the Chinese cup.
